The knuckle lights are great, so much better than wrapping my head torch around my hand when running! Even on the low setting and with just one light, the brightness is strong enough for morning runs before sunrise. The strap does come a bit loose whilst running but overall that’s not too much of a problem.

These are better than the other lights. A) because they are made of a rubber compound so don't rust with sweat, and b) use batteries instead of a rechargeable ion battery. I would have given it 5 stars except the company doesn't really stand by it's 5 year warranty. I submitted a warranty claim 1.5 months AGO and still am waiting for the replacement for the Light one. Since it's getting dark and I wanted to be safe, just went and bought these. DON'T MAKE PROMISES YOU CAN'T KEEP!!!

This was a great purchase for me. I run in the dark in a quiet area with no streetlights. The lights are nice and bright; though I carry two, I only need one. Purchased the purple originals last week. The straps adjusted just fine. Yesterday, however, I had to adjust the straps due to wearing gloves and when I went to tighten them I could not do so. Knuckle Lights are easy to wear. They offer great flexibility. With a small turn of my hand, I can get a quick look at dark sidewalks and running paths.

Lights are fine when conditions are good - first time I ran in the rain with them both failed. One started working again after a hour or so back in the house, the other turns on when you put batteries on but the switch doesn't turn it off nor cycle to the other light modes. Pretty disappointing,

They are the absolute best lights, in my opinion for nighttime running. But now they have proven even better. Friday evening, my house was engulfed in a major fire. About half of the structure sustained massive heat and smoke damage including the area where my lights were located. As we are working though the house in preparation to gut it, one of the lights was found....unharmed....still functioning!!! Fire is funny. Maybe it wasn’t exposed to as much heat as the other plastic items that were melted nearby, but I’m impressed either way. Thank you for an outstanding product that has kept me safe funny in the dark and helping to rebuild following a fire.

I used these for the first time at a Ragnar overnight relay race. They were perfect. Very bright and illuminated the road perfectly. Easy to pack and comfortable in my hand. Highly recommend to walkers or runners who are out and about early in the morning or late at night. Wear them in combination with a headlamp and illuminated vest for safety.

We ran the Ragnar Relay Tennessee this past weekend (October 25 & 26) and they came in so handy. We were an ultra team, with 6 members, and 2 of us had Knuckle Lights to use for those dark runs. They worked out perfectly! So bright and so clear, it made running at night that much better! Our team shared the 2 sets throughout the race and i kept telling them they needed a pair for running all the time! Our driver of the van said that when he saw us running at night with the lights, we looked like Tron!

They are great.My favorite route is not very well lit and even with good moonlight, it is not a route to be run after dark.Until now.They are a luxury item in the winter, this summer they will become a necessity.I've got skinny hands but the Knuckle Lights fit just fine.I thought the amount of light was perfect as was the pattern.I can't prove it but I swear I had better form when using them as well.What a great product.

I purchased some of your knuckle lights on the recommendation of my daughter who uses them and I have to say they are everything she said they were!I walk early in the mornings and now as the days are shorter need some light. The other night, my husband and I were out running on the roads near our house and a big truck drove up and stopped beside us, which is a pretty scary thing when you're out on the dark, empty roads! The window rolled down and it was a man and his young son. He said, "Where did you get those lights?" We told him that they were Knuckle Lights and he said, "Those are great! We could see you from a mile away!" Turns out that he used to run a lot and was looking to get started again but wasn't sure about running in the dark. The traffic really sees me now. The damn bicyclists even move over when I on the trail. If you run when it's dark please get these and always run against the traffic. The fit and function are excellent. I'm still on the first set of batteries. I've been running for about a year and put in 30 miles per week. These even give my wife peace of mind knowing the traffic can see me.

I took them out on a trail here in Farmersville, TX that is a 5 miler out and back (2.5 miles each way).The trail is only lit for the first .8 miles.The 1.7 miles beyond that has no electric lighting whatsoever. Tonight is a new moon so without any moonlightthe trail beyond the lighted section was pitch black.Knuckle Lights are the exact solution I've wanted for running that trail.I had actually stopped running out beyond the lights and had taken back to running the roads with streetlights.But for running that trail out beyond the lighted section, Knuckle Lights are perfect.They provide a wide enough beam to light across the entire trail and off into the bush area just beyond (useful for spotting the zombies hiding in the bushes, of course).They extend far enough ahead of me, as the runner, to allow ample opportunity to respond to possible hazards. And when crossing the road it's easy enough to open hands to aim the lights perpendicular for cars approaching from either direction to see you.
Their shape allows hydration from a bottle without having to remove the lights.The thumb on/off switch is perfectly place for ease of use. I like everything about them.Oh, and great choice on the flexible rubber straps versus using elastic fabric.I'm impressed.I'm going to share them with my Team in Training team.We run to raise money for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and this time of year most of us will be running in the dark to build up the miles we need to run our marathons.

I work late which means I run late and since I live in Chicago that means running on city streets after dark - especially in the winter.My roommate bought me a set of Knuckle Lights for Christmas and I have to say they are the greatest running-associated gift I have ever received.While I do wear reflective gear when I run at night, reflective gear is only noticeable when light is shining on them, so a turning car will only see me when they are about 10 feet away and barreling down on me.With the Knuckle Lights (especially in flash mode) I am seen while approaching and give any driver more notice of me approaching.Just in the two weeks since I started using them I can already name more than 5 times that a driver has seen me approaching and let me pass as opposed to inching out across the crosswalk in front of me.I can't say that the knuckle lights have saved my life but I can honestly say that I feel a lot safter running at night with them on.This product is nothing short of fantastic.

I actually got the opportunity to try them out before he did when I did a night run.What a difference between the Knucklelights and the headlight we were using!Cars actually saw me and moved out of the way and I was able to see a much larger area of the road than before.We are running in a Ragnar Relay in the fall and are planning on taking our Knucklelights with us. After showing them to some of our teammates, some of them are planning on buying Knucklelights as well.I will definitely recommend this product to all of the runners that I know.

I live in Boston and run around 4:00 a.m. Cars see the lights and move over and/or slow down. These measures never happened before when I was just running with my vest. I feel safer on my runs. My wife and I bought the lights to take to the Ragnar Trail Relay Appalachia.They absolutely saved our butts along with those of our cohorts.We had all run at night before but not on trails.A guy I run with mentioned that headlamps are not too effective on trails and recommended we carry flashlights.I tried it and found it very awkward so my wife had seen your Knuckle Lights and decided to order a pair for the trip.The weather was miserable with rain and fog, visibility was nearly zero all night.Our Knuckle Lights never made it back to the camp site all night.They simply were passed from one runner to the next.Without those lights, we don't know how slow we would have had to run.The lights worked great and were really easy to run with.

.I usually run early in the morning before the sun is up and these lights are far superior to anything else I've used.I don't like holding things in my hands when I run so carrying a light you have to grip is very distracting and the headlamps never seemed to do a very effective job of actually lighting the area ahead of me.I just strap these lights on the back of my hand and within a short distance I almost forget I have them on except for the fact that the area ahead of me is well lit and oncoming cars can see me from a long distance away.I've had mine for over a year now and recently had an issue with one of them not turning on correctly.I contacted you and got an immediate fix to my issue.No hassles.No jumping through hoops to find someone to help.Not only is your product excellent but the customer service before and after the sale is exceptional. Knuckle Lights are not only for running. Recently my hometown went through an ice storm that brought down power lines. Our house was without power for about 7 hours. We went to get the flashlights and guess what? The batteries were not working. We then went to lighting candles. The candles were okay however not the best source of light. As we were making our way around the house with the candles my knuckle lights came to my mind. I went and turned them on and you would think that I solved our problem. My family was able to make it through the house without any problem and we even used the lights to light up the board games we played. Thanks Knuckle Lights.

I recently was a 12 member of a Ragnar Relay Team that covered 198 miles from Cumberland Md to the National Harbor near Washington DC. As the only gray head (I'm 65) on a team of 30 somethings I was somewhat reluctant to offer advice as I wanted to be a peer, not a parent.I told fellow team members about Knucklelights and a couple bought them for running at night. Most had headlamps.After seeing the difference, several members of the team borrowed mine for their night leg.Knucklelights give the user a lot more control over where the light is thrown as opposed to the headlamps.

When we hit the road this morning at 4:30 a.m., knucklelights "on" hands, we pushed our buttons on and MAN! I gotta tell ya we were amazed at how much brighter the surrounding area was! We have been using ahead lamp for two years now (which was better than nothing as we live in a rural area with only dirt roads to run on....no street lights, only the occassional flood light on someones house) Not only was the road lit up far better, but the sides of the roads and ditches on either side were lit as well!We run with our dogs and they seemed to run slightly faster being that the area was much more lit up! Hence us running faster!!

I have just begun training for my first Half Marathon with a Fleet Feet group.I was nervous last week about running in the pitch black of night since I normally run in the mornings after dropping my children off at school.I found my way by following another group member who had your Knuckle Lights.
